OC EVENT SUPERVISOR EXPECTATIONS
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Dress professionally according to FISD standards. Event supervisors are encouraged to wear their OC t-shirt to identify themselves as OC Staff.
Arrive promptly at designated time.
Introduce yourself to the event client and let them know to direct any questions to you.
Be an engaging, friendly presence throughout the entirety of the rental period.
Be proactive in attempting to anticipate the needs of the rental client.
START OF SHIFT
Clock in on the time clock located in the Welcome Center.
Pick up an Event Binder located in the Welcome Center.
Sign out a radio for your use during the event.
Pick up any keys needed - will be labeled on the OC Special Events Coordinator’s desk.
Check the event space to ensure that everything is in place and ready for the event.
Check restrooms to be sure they are stocked and cleaned.
Document any damages prior to the event start.
Greet the rental client and allow them access to their event space.
Ensure other staff members are arriving at assigned times and contact them if they are not there at scheduled shift time.
DURING SHIFT
Be available to answer any questions or address concerns if they arise.
Walk around rental areas/OC general spaces to ensure the group is only using rented spaces.
Greet other staff members as they arrive and delegate tasks to them as needed.
Be prepared to take the lead in an emergency situation.
If the group is not meeting expectations for facility usage, document this (in writing and photos if applicable) and either address it with the rental client, call for security/police assistance or contact the Special Event Coordinator for clarification.
END OF SHIFT
Alert rental client 30 minutes prior to the end of the event rental.
Ensure that the rental client disposes of all trash, provide extra trash bags and show them where the dumpsters are located.
Ensure the rental group has removed decorations, cleaned the trash from space and vacated on time. Document any amount of time over the rental period.
Complete a walk through with the rental client, documenting any damages in writing and photos.
Close and lock the rental space (as applicable).
Return to the Welcome Center, return the Event Binder, sign in radio and place it on the charger.

Document any time overages by client
Document any facility issues (broken items, restrooms not clean, etc)
Document any issues with the rental group (using additional spaces, rudeness, not following FISD policies for substances, not following requests of staff, etc).
Clock out on the time clock located in the Welcome Center.
Leave all keys on the OC Special Events Coordinator’s desk and close the Welcome Center door behind you - ensure that it is locked.
